龍井茶

Brewed a cup this morning and the flat, sword-shaped leaves really do hold their shape—they unfurl beautifully instead of turning to mush. The liquor stays that pale jade green, and the taste is clean and vegetal without any bitterness, even after a couple of minutes.

The dry leaves smell like fresh cut grass and chestnuts, and once steeped they unfold into that gorgeous jade green the description promises. The liquor is clean and slightly sweet, no bitterness even when I let it sit a bit too long.

The flat, sword-shaped leaves are such a distinct touch—you can tell this is the real deal before it even hits the water. It brews up a gentle, clean aroma that fills the whole kitchen, and the taste is just as fresh as the scent promises.
